After having the blue chassis and body over the last 3 seasons we have finally decided to change colours. The new colour scheme is looking awesome thanks to Tony who did all the painting and Russell who did an awesome job with the sign writing. We have made a few changes to the car with different tyres and made a few changes with the brakes. We went to the second practice and it seems like the changes we have made have all worked well. Most of the other tracks had already had there opening nights so I was pretty keen to get out there and get some races behind us. We didn’t get off to the best of starts. Infact it was the first race, first lap and the first corner that we got into a bit of trouble. I was following Hilton Parker when he got it a bit crossed up and having know where to go hit the front of his car. The front right lifted up and then I got shunted from behind which slowly tipped me over but luckly landed on all four. Having no real damage I continued on and finished 8th. The second race was just as rough as the 1st but that's all I'll say about that. The third race was a sprint race and spent most of the race behind Jonas who was flying. We couldn’t make much ground in this race and came home in 4th. It was a tough start to the season but is definitely good to get back into the thick of things. I missed the club night as I was at the All Whites game, so was hoping to get a bit of track time before any of the big meetings which are quickly creeping up on us. I have just been selected in the Wellington team to go to the Teams Invasion in Palmerston North which we won last year. With the Teams champs just around the corner it will be a good chance to get in some practice before one of the biggest events of the season.
